Singing Cedars School is a Provisional Member of the Independent Schools Association of the Central States (ISACS).
Provisional membership is a step toward full accreditation, recognizing schools that have operated for at least three consecutive years and demonstrated compliance with ISACS’s Standards for Membership, but have not yet completed the full accreditation process.
This Fall 2026 we have begun our self-study, the first major step in preparing for an accreditation visit anticipated for Fall 2029. Through the self-study, our school community will reflect on our mission, educational program, governance, and operations; recognize strengths; and identify areas for continued growth. The work will inform the visiting team’s review of our school, including its examination of our self-study and observations of school life. The team will use this review to assess our alignment with ISACS’s Standards for Membership and offer recommendations for continued improvement as an educational institution.
This process brings reflection and outside perspective to the ongoing work of strengthening Singing Cedars. Provisional membership also gives us access to ISACS benefits and resources that support our school’s professional growth. Our participation in the ISACS accreditation process qualifies Singing Cedars to participate in Iowa’s Education Savings Account (ESA) program; eligible families may use ESA funds for tuition and fees, subject to state requirements.
