Our Programs
Early Childhood Program
Nature's rhythms and the celebration of seasonal festivals provide the framework for the flow of activities in the Early Childhood program for ages 2-5.
The Daily Rhythm follows a pattern containing the following:
Circle Gathering
Indoor Free Play
Baking
Crafting
Story
Outdoor Play
Rest
Forest Walks
Weekly Rhythm
Monday - Muffin Making
Tuesday - Painting
Wednesday - Bread Making
Thursday - Coloring
Friday - Chopping
In a loving environment, the teacher and children engage in practical and artistic activities. The child has many opportunities to develop his or her senses, imagination, and imitative powers through activities such as painting, drawing, beeswax modeling, baking, gardening, outdoor exploration and free-choice play. Our program also emphasizes stories, songs, puppetry and circle games that mirror the yearly cycle. Carefully chosen playthings made of natural materials inspire great inner activity for the child's creative play.
